Help people understand the change and make it work day to day.

A change needs people to understand why it matters, what it means for their work and where they can get help. We work with leaders and teams to explain it clearly, involve the people affected and support them as they put it into practice.

When to bring us in

Does this sound familiar?

  • People have heard about the change but are unsure what it means for their work.
  • Leaders and teams are giving different explanations of what is changing.
  • A new way of working has been introduced, but people are struggling to use it.

What we can help with

Help people put change into practice

A shared explanation

Work with leaders to explain why the change is needed, what it is intended to achieve and how people will know what it means for them.

Internal campaigns and engagement

Plan conversations, stories, demonstrations and internal communications that help people understand and take part. Use the channels that reach the people involved.

Practical support

Develop role guidance, workshops, examples and coaching so people can practise the new arrangements and raise questions while using them.

Learning after the rollout

Listen to the people affected, look at what is being used and adjust the approach. Keep leaders involved as teams learn what works.

What you can expect

  • A clear change story and communication plan
  • An engagement plan for leaders and the people affected
  • Practical guidance and support for new roles or working practices
  • Feedback and measures to review use and make improvements

How we know it is helping

Look at whether people understand the change, can use the new arrangements and have a useful way to raise difficulties. Agree measures around the change and the people affected.

The support is shaped around the change and your organisation. We agree responsibilities with leaders and work with the people who will put it into practice.

nbn · Project One

Making a shared way of working easier to understand

Project One brought business and IT teams into a shared delivery model. People needed to understand new roles, shared responsibilities and what the change meant in their daily work.

We combined leadership engagement with practical examples: the Project One Think Tank, Project One Radio, short internal videos, experience rooms and showcases. These gave people ways to hear from colleagues, ask questions and see the new arrangements in action.

The campaign helped leaders and staff understand their part in the change and discuss the new ways of working through examples they could relate to.
